'Real Housewives of New Jersey' recap: 'Gimme pizza, you old troll'

Normally I like to try -- emphasis on try -- to get a little clever with my "Real Housewives of New Jersey" headlines, but I thought 4-year-old Milania 's order to dad Joe Giudice just had a really nice ring to it.

Caroline Manzo is back on the radio talking New Year’s resolutions. “I’m all about new beginnings.” Debbie from Flemington: What do you do when you’re around someone who isn’t nice to you? Hey, Melissa Gorga is listening! What a coincidence! “Do not let anybody intimidate you," Caroline tells her, "especially if you want to do something pure and good in your heart.”

Melissa calls up Teresa Giudice to set up a playdate between Antonia and Milania because they haven’t gotten together all winter break. Melissa feels the need to give Teresa a little nudge, saying this the reason they’re talking again, so their kids can see one another. Teresa tells us she didn’t want to see Melissa because she’s still pissed that the Gorgas left her party to go to Kathy’s .

Jacqueline Laurita wants her parents to help straighten out Ashley . Her mother says Ashley will figure out that there’s more to life than her pals and parties when she grows up. Jacqueline says Ashley is 20 and needs to do that stat that? Grandpa Jerry goes into Ashley’s room where Ashley is sketching Marilyn Monroe, and actually not doing a bad job of it. We see some of her other work. Her grandfather want her to do something with her talent. Ashley tells us she never thought of art as a career. She continues to sketch while semi-ignoring her grandfather, who’s trying to encourage her. Here is Ashley trying to explain ... well … why she’s qualified for nothing else besides reality television: “Like all my stuff, like all my other stuff, that’s all the stuff I don’t, like, finish, it’s, like, I get bored with it, and, like, I go back to it, but it’s, like, I don’t like deadlines.” I would suggest a drinking game for each time Ashley uses the word “like,” but I suspect the hospitals would be overrun with cases of alcohol poisoning. Life is about deadlines, her grandfather tells her. Get used to it.
